New Desktop - what case?

Having trouble choosing a case Wants.......
The desktop usually has something on it plus a top vent would let in too much dust, so no switches or ports on the top.
On the front or side is fine, with on/off/reboot switches plus jacks and USB ports.
Case lighting that could be switched off would be nice but not essential.
Most cases don’t allow for a DVD player but if this could be incorporated would save having to store it somewhere else.
Want at least 3 drives with at least 1 SSD.

What's the CPU cooler?

That's one of the most important bits when suggesting the case :)

With regards to the spec itself, what is the PC being used for? Video editing? Gaming (at what resolution)? Other, different uses? specific software?

Looking to future proof & last a while, gaming, some design, editing, have CAD software, will be looking to update screen soon so good HD resolution. Did not look at cooler and final spec until finalised a case. Could also go to 3 drives. Always went for Intel but AMD looking good these days.

That case is about the only one that fits your criteria.

The ports on top might not be such an issue - I often have bits on top of my Fractal R4 (sometimes a whole other computer), but as long as the front few cm are clear the ports are fine.

It would open the Fractal R6 as an option, for instance.

The spec overall looks about right for the uses - R9 CPU and 32gb RAM is pointless for gaming but for the editing and CAD work could make sense depending on workloads.

Why 3 drives specifically? What kinds of files are you looking to store on each of them? e.g. One with the OS and programs, one with games, one for mass storage?

The X570 TUF is the best bang for buck motherboard. Unless there are specific features on the Strix you need that it doesn't offer, stuck with the TUF.

Motherboard audio is quite good, so I'd drop the sound card.

If you need wifi, go with the AX200 card for £18. If you don't need wifi, drop the card.

The RX 5700 Xt is wasted on 1080p resolution, but with your budget you can easily get a 1440p 144hz monitor (~£350-£500):

Anyone guidance? Need a new monitor to make use of new PC with good graphic card 8gb AMD RX 5700 XT. For gaming & video use some CAD etc.
Initial spec is 32 inch curved, 4k, freesync 2 +, good refresh rate. The good post above does seem to confirm that some specs are mutually exclusive unless you go say £800 plus. Would not like to go this high. Also it seems hard to find which monitors are the latest, even recent reviews seem to refer to ones been around 2/3 years.
Any thoughts if ideal spec might exist or should I go HD and get best possible with latest freesync pro or 4k not curved/freesync? Have trawled the net not a good time to buy new but these seem OK, thoughts. 2 possibles................................
Samsung 32" UR59C Curved 4K UHD Monitor no freesync!
Samsung 32" U32H850 4K UHD Monitor freesync

But still searching............................................

Your GPU is a 1440p 144Hz GPU, it's not powerful enough for 4k.

You can edit/view 4k on a non-4k screen. 1440p would be the ideal monitor for you for gaming.

Dell 32 Curved Gaming Monitor: S3220DGF & ASUS ROG Strix XG32VQR 32" 144hzHDR Curved Monitor.
Both similar specs & response with FreeSync Premium Pro good for my Gpu. Dell seems a bit more recent.
I was looking for 4k but not found with freesync 32inch & specs to match, the HD with better specs seems a good compromise for gaming & other use under say £700.

As above. The ROG looks the part to me. It's 1440p so absolutely perfect for your gaming needs.

The unfortunately position with 4K is that if you game on it at a lower resolution it will look poor. The 1440p screen is the ideal middle ground as it'll be stunning for gaming and offer enough screen real estate to edit/view the 4k without any real detriment. It'll effectively look like up-scaled video (as it is really).

I edit 4k on my 1080p screen, it doesn't make any real odds.
