I had a couple of problems with my PC and it was always a hassle to get it pack and ready to be collected for RMA, I cannot imagine how difficult would be to pack that PC in case a problem arises and you need to send it back to PCS. I believe that case is also pretty heavy.

i thought your PC had been built as well, you certainly worded it that way

sorry for the confusion.
i suppose it shows that they do have concerns about the shipping of it, and i suppose that people could question other companys that already ship it (overclockers) as to how they would get it to you safe and sound with a couple of grands worth of insides.

Overclockers probably don't ship it with parts inside, with the parts inside they need much more padding they obviously dont get boxes that also fit the sufficient amount of padding

The box was giant for mine, i couldnt imagine what yours would be

that'll be why i would opt for the 3 Year Platinum Return-to-Base Warranty Service. sod trying to sort that out on my own, worth the £135 i think with something like that

I understand, I also have the platinum insurance which I think for the price is very good value for money and the technical support department are VERY quick fixing any issues (less than a week in my case). My point, however, was the hassle and difficulty I experience when packing and returning the PC for RMA, disconnecting everything, opening the side case to put the foam, lifting the pc and putting in the box. My PC is pretty heavy but I believe the Cosmos II with all the parts inside should probably be around 30 kg? It will be a mission just to pack it! I got the same guy from DPD collecting and delivering the PC in both occasions and he looks pretty unhappy whenever he meets me.

you need to think about what was mentioned earlier, its massive, its very heavy, the package is going to be heavy and massive, if you ordered a full system in this case and for what ever reason it was dropped or whatever broken in transit think about the problems with sending it back.

I know its a pain, but I'd certainly rather drive and pick it up than trust any courier. There will be a reason that PCS do not want to send a full system in this case with a courier.

We wouldn’t have any issues shipping just the case. The box that coolermaster supply is adequate for shipping the case only.

However, once the case has been built into a pc, then it becomes a whole different matter. The case is incredibly big and heavy on its own. Add in the components and the extra protection it would then require would cause many issues. Not least a new box being produced together with drop testing etc. at the sealed air labs (All our packaging is drop tested to ensure it provides adequate protection).

This is not cheap. A new box requires new tooling etc., and with a case such as this, that will not sell many, then it is not viable.

We could take a chance and ship it in the coolermaster packaging, but inevitably some systems will be damaged. Systems built into these cases will cost a lot, and we are not prepared to take the risk.

The case is amazing, but it is just too big. The bigger and heavier the case the more likely it will be dropped and handled poorly by a courier, simply because it is difficult to handle.

We will look into specialist two man couriers (the same type of service that will deliver a sofa for example). But until then, it will be collection only. Once we have stock that is.

cheers, as i said, it's still a few weeks till your even releasing the case, so there is still time to see a light at the end of the tunnel in terms of delivery.
depends on what the extra man would cost and if you decide to put a charge on the delivery itself to cover it

i don't live with my rents anymore, i'm 39, saying that, the missus won't be impressed lol
as for the case features, i'm getting it now as i need a new build, and don't want to spend out on another new case when i want to upgrade, might as well get the best now as it's prob gonna be the best case for some time to come. should last me a very long time and its very future proof already if you look at some of the reviews. boards haven't even been made yet that it already caters for. i'm just being greedy

I'd deliver it for you, but if it went in my boot I would be driving like this:

Shame i was never given an hour window, or txted to be told when order was to be delivered. it was BY chance that i was working late that day ((10am)), as it was delivered at 930am, if i was at work at 8am like normal, i would of missed it. - also the tracking info on the website did not work for me, untill AFTER it was delivered. i have told PCS about this though.

Did you receive any texts from PCS before this, you may have put in your phone number wrong by accident

I was reading a few posts further back about PCS not being able to send out rigs that are too large. Well, I have ordered the HAF-X and I know from reviews that it is huge. Anyone here know if they will be able to send it out? Anyone had any experience with this case before? Cheers.

Any case you can order from PCS's list will be sent out fine through the couriers, so no need to worry.

I ordered the HAF-X case and I did not experience any issues with the delivery.
