New Computer Turned Up Today... Help

I shall try that when I get home this evening.
Do I need to go through all the steps again, or can I just select drive 1, and then do the delete partition override? I assume I then just go through and delete the 4 partitions?
You'll need to select drive 1 and then for each partition do a list partition followed by a select partition 1 followed by a delete partition override. I can't remember whether it renumbers partitions when you delete one, it probably does, hence the list partition between each select/delete to see what's left.

When all partitions are deleted I would issue the clean all command again, if it doesn't complete normally then I'd start to suspect the drive itself. If the clean all does complete normally reboot the USB stick and install as before.

If you get home this evening, try the above, and still have no luck, you could consider phoning PC Specialist (they're open to 8pm weekdays and also open to 5pm on Saturday too).

Not that the above isn't great advice, but if you're stuck, rather than exchanging messages across the forums which can have some time delay, you may want to talk to a person on the phone. And part of what you paid PCS for was their tech support of course! :)

TBH if my last suggestions don't work the OP will have to call PCS!

Will definitely do that. Did not realise they were open until 8pm to be honest - will make life much easier.

I spoke to someone this morning and pointed them in the direction of this post. They gave all the same instructions as Ubuysa has, and asked if I had tried the step he recommended this morning, which I told them I will try this evening! If that doesn't work, I think it might be time for a new SSD!

Still no luck, I just get the following message when entering delete partition override:
DiskPart has encountered an error: incorrect function
See the System Event Log for more information

I guess it’s over to PCS now!

I'm afraid so. I know of nothing else you can try and I'll wager a small sum that it's a hardware issue with that SSD.

Have spoken to PCS and a new SSD should be with me tomorrow to hopefully solve the issue.

Will let you know how I get on, and a massive thanks for all your help!
You should just be able to plug it in and boot the Windows installation USB you have and install straight away. You shouldn't need to mess about with diskpart at all on the new drive. :)

Got home and put the new SSD in this evening, but doesn’t seem to have solved anything.

I get windows setup come up and when clicking I accept the license agreement etc, I get two options of Upgrade: Install Windows and keep files, or Custom; install windows only (advanced)

I clicked on custom and it doesn’t appear to even pick up the new drive, it just has drive 0 listed - I don’t think it’s even picked up that the new SSD has been put it!

Thinking it’s time for a return to PCS!

This would have suggested a configuration problem rather than a hardware one. If you were asked to "Upgrade" then that suggests that you left the faulty drive in place with the original OS on it.

A fresh, new SSD in place wouldn't warrant requesting an upgrade and would go straight into the installation.

All sorted now anyway, just posting in case anyone else has a similar issue. There is a pursuit option.
