Nope.

I'm reinstalling a fresh version of windows to the Non SSD now to see as per tech support. My only other hope is a faulty SSD. But even still the screen is so weird it really has to be the Graphics card IMO.

That's a GPU hardware failure I'm afraid.

You'll need to get the GPU itself RMA'd which you can do through your online account.

Sadly it's looking that way :/

Alas it's always worth trying just in case.

Hopefully they can get a replacement GPU to you ASAP

Yeah I don't think there is any other explanation. Now there are green lines running up the screen and its just gone off again.

So disappointing.

Will I be waiting weeks now with the 3070 shortages? They still have some next day equivalents of mine for sale, any chance they'd replace it straight? Its only a few hours old. Never worked.

Only PCS will be able to tell you that, they might have one they can swap straight away

I'd get on the phone to them first thing in the morning & explain and point them in the direction of this thread, hopefully the will send you one fairly quickly

Yeah I have been in contact with one guy in Tech support and he is back Monday but I’ll call first thing I want to get this sorted.

So the best solution we have come up with is RMA for a refund and I'v purchased a new overnight system. They offered to repair etc but no guarantee as to timings.

Glad you've got something sorted in a decent time. I'm guessing stock issues are reason for the repair timings which must be frustrating for you and PCS. :)

I think its actually a very sensible approach. The RMA has already been approved by a manager even though they said it would be Monday. So all going well by next weekend I'll have a working computer and can start again.

I looked at the box and it took an awful beating in shipping. Torn through in places and the tower case has a mark on it too. I think it had a rough passage with Fedex to be honest.

If you can, get some photos of all the packaging and upload to the thread through a 3rd party image site. It may help PCS as they could try and shift any losses to FedEx (which is probably becoming a habit)

Yeah actually the tech guy I got this morning wanted some so I sent him some. I'm so excited to get this up and running!

I went with an Alienware 34" ultra wide monitor which will be here next week too.
Nice choice on the Alienware, really high quality screens!

Well finally up and running!

Can I ask one more question? The machine came with 2x8GB. In the bios these show as 2666 and overclocked to 3600, all good.
When I install 2 more identical 8GB chips 2 of them show 2133, but the still overclock to 3600 and it shows all the ram running at 3600 in windows.

I swapped the sticks and its not the sticks, ie the new ones run at 2666 in any 2 slots when 2 sticks are taken out.

Is this anything? I assume as long as I am getting stable 3600 in windows its all good?

Thanks guys.

I must say I'm surprisingly impressed with the Frostflow 240. On almost every build I see people saying take it out but its sitting here at 29 degrees on the Ryzen 7 OC to 4200Mhz and its keeping it mighty cool.
