New computer DOA

Just received my new pre built PC specialist PC.

R7 5800
3070
1TB SSD and 2GB HDD
16GB 3600Ram

Turned it on and the PC specialist logo appears with green dots all over the screen. Then the moving circle of dots appears that usually signifies windows is loading and then nothing. Blank black screen. Just before the black screen more green lines appear on the screen.

Anyone have any idea? Just off the phone to support and after waiting 2 hours to speak to someone will most likely have to send it back.

Willing to bet its GPU related. Theres a chance something may have come loose in transit (these things happen).

Are you able to open the side of your PC while turned off and make sure that the GPU is seated properly and the power cables to it are in fully?

Do you have a different displayport or HDMI cable as well you can test it with?

Can you also post your full specs from the order page (copy and paste) so people can see everything we are dealing with here

Try reseating the graphic card and check the associated wiring, also check and reseat the RAM

Thanks for replying. I have opened the side of the case and made sure everything is snug and everything is. I can also boot to the bios without issue. Pretty gutting!

what cable are you connecting the pc to the monitor with

Have you removed the GPU and reseated it? All it takes is one connection not being perfect

using a HDMI that was perfect and still is connecting to my laptop. I have looked at the gpu and put dental pressure on it. there is a locking mechanism im not sure about on the right hand side of the pic e slot. how does this unlock?

gently ease it to the right and pull it up

Done and new HDMI and still the same. My graphics card is goosed isn't it?

No I am getting a POST screen saying the VGA card isn't supported by settings.

Is there any lights on the top right hand side of your motherboard? Just next to the ram and any beeps when you turn it on?

They should come on in order when you boot up, but will stay on if there is a fault (different coloured)

check the plugs onto the graphic card and also where they plug into the psu

Yes lights go orange yellow green.

PSU connections good. Booted into recovery now again with the weird green lines again
