Just wanted to ask about how the new system would turn up.
On the build ive ordered i'm not buying an operating system as I will be transferring my Win 10 Pro license (License is already linked to online microsoft account).

Does anyone know if that means i get a "blank" machine, or if it will come with all drivers and a OS installed, just no license?
Ive already prepared a USB to boot from and install Win 10, along with the driver downloads for things like the motherboard and monitor but ive never had to install on a completely blank system before (upgrades/updates yes, from scratch, no).

I know the theory (Go into bios, enable boot from USB, use the USB to then install Win 10 and then go through and do all the drivers) but if i hit complications i'm not sure how well I would do. I also wondered about how they would test the build without loading a OS and all the drivers onto it....so I assume they will do this to test but didnt know if they would then wipe it, or just send it out without a license.

The past two PC's I've received in the past month have arrived with Windows 10 Pro installed but no key, I've just reinstalled Windows so I can reactivate my licence :) Just change the boot to USB and install another copy of Windows onto the drive you want, and then you can just delete the old Windows once you're in

Thats positive news... makes my life easier lol
Its only coming with a M.2 drive in it, so it would already be in the right place which makes things even easier if thats the case...

Yeah, just to stress, you can’t use the test version of windows so you’d have to reinstall from scratch.

So I would still need to reinstall the drivers too?
Its not as simple as just registering it with my license?

Ok, well as mentioned I have already prepared a boot USB to install win 10 from scratch.
Ive also downloaded copies of the drivers for the motherboard, AMD chip, WiFi card and monitor.
I will be able to download GeforceExperience which will then sort the GPU drivers out, need to check about the samsung M.2 but I assume i'll need drivers for that too.

Basically i looked at each part on the configurator and was going to the manufacturer website and checked what downloads were there...

The H100i RGB runs through iCue... does that also sort out any drivers it may need? (It did firmware updates on headphones and keyboard when I tested them out on partners machine)

I assume if i hit any problems I can always ask PCS to remote in and help out?

In windows 10 you don’t manually install drivers. Let windows update find all drivers and updates, then once they’re all installed, you manually install graphics drivers, and if it’s a laptop, the management driver. And iCue or any supplemental you wish.

iCue is just a monitoring program and does firmware for iCue devices.

Just post here if you’re having trouble. As you haven’t ordered with windows you won’t get any windows support from PCS
