Hi, this will be my first real beefy PC that I will be using for mostly gaming and streaming, I'm running a 1440p at 144hz atm and just wanted to know if I've made any silly mistakes. my budget is around £1600 if that's of use.

Thanks in advance

Bulba

Godlike
Giving myself extra brownie points for getting the spec to the same price as OP 😎
Downgraded the GPU to the 3060ti, the 3070 doesn’t have huge performance gains over the 3060ti, and with a 1600 budget there are other components that are worth putting a little extra cash into.
There aren’t a whole lot of budget cases in stock at the moment, the 220t is a little pricier but worth it, and not just for the RGB. If you’re looking to save a little more I would recommend sourcing your own case elsewhere and sending it into PCS, a good budget pick would be the Fractal Focus G.
Only £50 to upgrade to the latest gen 5800x CPU, this will handle all your gaming and streaming needs.
16GB should handle your needs for the foreseeable future, but you do have the room to upgrade to 32 down the line, (once ASUS fix their instability issues) and the 3600mhz speed will benefit you greatly.
Given you a lovely fully modular power supply that will run quieter and cooler and has room for upgrades down the line.
Coolermaster 240 is needed to support the 5800x. That combined with a rear exhaust fan should be all the cooling you need.

I’m just going to throw a little curveball into the equation. I own the iCue case and it’s great, but due to its small footprint I think an eight core chip really benefits from an improved cooler, namely... the H100i RGB Platinum. So with a couple of very minor tweaks to the awesome spec provided by @MrWilson, here’s what I’d do...

It’s still in my budget and I’d much prefer to air on the side of caution when it comes to temps I tend to get paranoid, but you’ve all been so awesome I can’t thank you enough for these :)

A 5800X without a X570  o_O

It'll be OK but I think there may be a toasty motherboard around the VRM area when gaming/streaming at the same time :D

i mean i can upgrade the MB to a x570 it only takes me a little over my budget if you think it would be worth doing so.
