It can work in your favour.... for example, some of the people ordering RTX 3070 walked away with overclocked gigabyte cards... normally zotac/palit are the general supplier. Not so sure about AMD though.

Normally, if you email them, you can ask what the current ones being used as general stock are atm, doesnt mean youre guaranteed it but it can give you an idea.
Be specific in your email and ask which makes and models are being used/currently stocked rather than just what would be used to replace yours...they wont know that till the day its replaced.
