Thanks again Spyder. As a total novice, it's hard for me to know how much credit to give what I'm reading, but I feel obliged to keep checking second opinions for something this expensive.

Yes, I'll definitely be going through PC Specialist. I've heard a lot of good things and ultimately, doing the build myself is something I just don't have confidence in. I like the support PCS seems to be offering.

If the fans in the Corsair Airflow 4000d and the Corsair liquid coolers are nice and quiet for the build above (RX 7800XT + 7800X3D), then I should probably go for it...!...?

Thanks again for your advice, I really appreciate it.
You can of course get better rated components which are designed to run extremely quietly but you have to understand that raises the budget quite significantly.

Sorry, components besides the case and cooler?

As it happens I've just had an email reply from PCS saying they can offer Corsair AF120 fans fitted into the Airflow 4000D case.

I have the RGB 4000d Airflow and that has the 3 x AF120 fans at the front, another 2 fans that came on the H100x AIO and one AF120 fan as an exhaust at the rear.

I sit right next to my PC and have to say it is much quieter than my laptop and I can hardly hear it - it does start up a little louder than it runs but I think its still quite quiet.

Ok, I'll bow out, as said if your budgets changed you could spec a better case, there's little point paying additional for fans on a budget case, you may as well spend that money on a better case with higher quality fans.

As said, you can achieve lower noise but at a premium, so if your budgets changed, then we could respec it.

But quieter operation is a premium feature, you have to pay for it, it takes more precise engineering to achieve the fan designs. ML (Magnetic Levitation) or fluid bearing fans are the ones to go for if you have to have quieter operation, but it will cost you.

Thanks for your patience Spyder, I'm terribly indecisive with certain things, and being new to all this stuff, along with budget considerations and overwhelming amount of choice is a lethal combination. I really appreciate everyone's help here.
I was initially hoping to stop at £1800 so £2k is already a stretch and I really don't want to go over that. There's £100 wiggle room left in the build above so I'd love to hear if there's a recommended case with sufficient cooling but quiet fans for the build, assuming I go with one of the Corsair coolers.
