If it was me I'd do everything I could to get the Ryzen 5 5600x cpu...it's a big performance increase in games. I'd also get the tuf x570 motherboard as its price to performance is the best value and only slightly more expensive.
You could drop the cooler and get the standard amd one, the pcs ones ain't very good unless something changed. With the tuf x570 you shouldn't need a sound card either unless you're a real audiophile obsessed with FLAC audio or something? :). Dropping these would save a little money to go towards the other 2 upgrades which would be a big improvement for gaming, you got that 240mhz monitor after all.

Good morning,

Can you please have a read of the below link, this will show you how to post your spec to the forums in a way that we will be able to make edits and suggestions easily. Also can you let us know what the max budget is? Thanks

At a glance there are a number of changes I would make

Hi,

Thank you for your response, can I edit the existing post or will I need to create a new one? I don't want to start spamming this forum.

Alright mate I've made a number of changes. Namely I've went for a newer CPU, the new generation are a massive improvement over the previous, I've also included for a slightly better motherboard.

I went from 3600Mhz RAM to 3200Mhz, the difference in terms of gaming is really really small.

I rejigged the storage to give you the lightening quick 980 Pro for the OS and 1TB M2 for games.

I removed the sound card, unless you're planning to do sound editing it's not worth it. The sound cards on motherboards these days are great

I've also upped the PSU to give the build longevity. With this PSU it'll power the build for year and has enough room for any upgrade you can throw at it

I've also adjusted the CPU cooling to something that's just better, the PCS Frostflows are not a good option. I've also removed the extra fans as they wouldn't be needed the airflow and cooling below should be enough and can be added later if you really want to for aesthetics

Should I go with 1TB Corsair instead of the no brand one? Its only £14 difference

Hi there,

Is it possible to control the colors of the RGB light strip inside the case or does it just change colors automatically? I figured out how to change the colors for CORSAIR iCUE 220T RGB AIRFLOW MID TOWER GAMING CASE, but not for the strip.

It should be controlled via motherboard software, if you ordered the spec that @Steveyg posted above then it will be Armory Crate from here:
