Need advice badly please

Hi people

Need urgent advice on first ever desktop as i dont have much of an IT background

Budget (£2300 better if cheaper)

Will be using it to edit videos on adobe premiere pro 1080/4k for instagram

Prefer 3900x chip and 64gb of ram

If anyone could please advise me on a spec as i dont have a clue when specing up on pc specialist website

Are you sure you want 64gb RAM..?

You could easily net an R9 3950X with that budget:

From what youtuve videos on builds ive watched they say the more ram the better but again your far more experienced than me!

Would i be able to increase the ram on a later date with this build? Many thanks

As initially il only be editing on adobe with 1089 hd clips with my canon 80d

Ooops totally missed that you already included the 64gb of ram:)thank you so much for that spec

May i ask please do yoh think editing will run smoothly on this? V close to pressing the buy button now lol

I'm not a video editor, but I think it should run more than smoothly :)

It's got a workstation-level CPU, probably more RAM than is needed, and a decent enough GPU. Two SSDs to allow for scratch/cache/project files etc to be divided between the drives. This article:
Is a little old but is still a good read to see how to divide things up between drives.

You'll end up wanting to add a very large hard drive or use network attached storage (NAS) to archive projects to when you're done with them I suppose, but easier and cheaper to add an HDD than to replace a component,

Perhaps see if @The_Scotster sees this thread as I think they're personally familiar with Adobe suite software, including Premiere Pro.

Oh, and drop the wifi card from the build, I forget PCS add it in by default. If you do need wifi, the ~£20 AX200 card is good value. Consider an improved warranty for a spec of this value, though that's always a personal call.
