Intel 13th and 14th Gen confirmed defective

So there's been a lot of upset gathering steam on the inter webs with intermittent games crashes on Intel 13th and 14th gen. Workarounds range from underclocking to disabling ecores. BUT, there are a lot of people finding that simply disabling hyperthreading is a proper solution. The findings...

They used to be, things change, they've been dire now for a good 5 years, the latest 3 generations literally don't work at all and melt at the core, even when they do work they perform poorly, take double the power for that poor performance, are impossible to cool without a £200 cooler, and are unstable at the best of times anyway.

Maybe able to go higher at £2800 without monitor.

It's not a gaming monitor, no, it's also an old IPS monitor so outdated tech.

I believe this AOC is the most affordable model available right now, costing slightly more than £700.

Even though it's cheap, it's no slouch, AOC tend to hit very hard at a low price point, they've kept that up for years and are extremely competitive at the low end.
