With respect my brother just got a new 14th gen core and to be honest experienced no problems or game crashes with the core i believe its a bit misunderstood over the 13th and 14th gen cores tho both are similar anyway. Also the last PC i got was back in 2020.

Also to add to that Intel patched the error back in August to the mobo manufactures as it was so i cant see why that should still be reported as a problem pre old news from intel from youtube

Because the ‘fix’ was to hobble the CPU because a microcode update cannot fix their manufacturing issue…but you’re obviously an expert, and don’t really want our advice, so I’ll leave you to it.

im no expert and never claim to be to be honest i just read what i did on the grape vine.... i guess my bad.. yes understood there was a problem gotcha i get that. So if that was the case interesting tho as it is were there really no updates? i mean did the fix really happen? i mean that i dont know being intel id think they would fix it but is the information mis understood?

i will say im sorry if i caused offense to anyone it wasn't meant like that but i was just surprised as i hadn't heard of the information that's all but it seems like it was fixed. Then that is my mistake as the information on the I9's with the raptor lake design seems a bit all over the place can anyone clear that up for me then?

How come you're replacing it so early?

Have to say, this seems very unusual to ditch a perfectly good PC half way through it's lifetime for a compromised platform, possibly not the best use of cash.

im upgrading due to doing more work into 3d modelling and rendering work also gaming on top so was looking to work with both and have a system being able to do both i guess. My only concern i guess and looking advice on would be is the cooler in my system really able to cool the CPU as from what i have seen they DO run hot and i feel the corsair 115i isnt quite enough?

I'm not sure why anyone would take the risk on Intel at the moment, it's just not worth the risk, especially with such a large sum of money. Even with all that aside, AMD wipe the floor with them at the minute in terms of performance.

I'm not sure you'll find anyone here that will put their name against an Intel build.

The build in the OP is all over the place, but I'm sure we can help you out if you give us a little more information.

Have a read through that thread and get back to us with as much information as possible.
