My new PC, any glaring problems?

New member
Previously made a mistake the last time I ordered a custom built PC, would like to make sure I haven't made any this time.
The Monitor I'll be using is the ASUS TUF Faming VG27AQ @165hz.
Generally the PC will be used for gaming and I'd like to be able to basically run any game on some of the highest settings at 165fps. May potentially go to 4k later with a different monitor, and would like for this system to be good for many years.
My budget is up to £4500 and generally I'm okay with spending a bit more than I should to be on the safe side in terms of future-proofing my PC.
I'm not the best with the technicalities, so I would like for the system to be low maintenance as well.

I would strongly consider the 3080 over the 3080Ti. You're going to get very little performance difference and it would only be measurable with software, you would never actually see it.

Given availability you could splurge a little and go for the 3080 Strix. Although over-priced, it's not as overpriced as the other options and you at least get something for your money in the cooling aspect.

The money saved can be set aside to purchase the 4080 on release. Which will fill in nicely for when you want to go 4k.

You can't future proof a system by sticking with what you buy. You can only future proof by making sure the foundations are in place to allow for upgrades, typically GPU upgrades, down the line. The below system has you covered for absolutely anything you could ever want to do, so is very much future proof. As suggested, the 4080 will be what takes it to the next level. This generation is saturated IMO.

I would consider the Strix motherboard also. The TUF is up to the task, absolutely no doubt, but when there's such a high budget I think I would personally go for the Strix, even just to have the branding across the core parts :D
