When you get yours though, i'd be more than appreciative if you could run Decibel meter (phone app or otherwise) over it whilst running at idle, and when hot (door open/closed).

Additionally if you get the chance, pipe me the wattage draw during those scenarios!

Probably prioritising fast trackers (like me ), I am sure you get it soon. You could contact them for an update.

It failed QC moosEh told me, if it's just a case of 'to the back of the queue' while the problem is sorted I'm fine with that, especially if fast trackers' rigs need sorting first. I was just concerned if there was something seriously wrong with the rig was all.

If there was something seriously wrong PCS will probably rebuild the system again, I wouldn't worry unless you urgently need the PC.

And the great thing IS that they failed it.

I know folk who bought machines from dell (alienware) and on first powering them up - nothing...nadda...not a pip, chirp or squeak, and have then waited for 2 weeks turnarounds as they ship them back.

Shows the testing procedure actually means something!

Surely if it needed a rebuild PCS would fast track it as he has waited awhile?

But suppose if it's still within the expected time frame they wont

I wouldn't expect it fast tracking (even though it did zip through build and test in two days) or any preferential treatment, and like I said before, I'm glad they picked up the problem and are putting it right before it leaves. That's top quality stuff. It's just frustrating (for want of a better word) seeing it sit at the final stage for a week! Plus the curiosity of what actually went wrong with it is driving me mad!

I'm not it a rush for the rig at all, my last new one is quite sufficient until it turns up.

Hi mate, word of caution with the case.

I saw on a YouTube review that the gromits (the little rubber things that cover holes and have flaps to let the cables through) are quite fragile. When I saw it in the review I didn't really agree with the guy who was reviewing it - but after having 2 of them fall off when I was rearranging cables - I can say I agree with him. So just go easy on the little blighters if you're ever fiddling around inside

Great point mate, noted. I can't say I'll be messing with the cabling any time soon, but if I do I'll be sure to stick them to the case while they're accessible. I've got a feeling that the Z87 will cover half of the cutouts anyway.

I'd be worried about his state of mind if that wasn't what it was...maybe pressing F5 so much has made him THINK he received an email

Yeah, checked my emails when I got to work and there it was. It was pretty unexpected too to be honest. I knew I should have waited to start playing Deus Ex.

That's nice how many working days so far? Today is the 5th working day of my 5 day fast track service so I hope PCS dispatch my laptop today.

It was like that for me on Monday morning - was the first time I'd been seen grinning on a Monday morning in a long time
Today and tomorrow whilst you're waiting will drag on forever though

9 working days and I just got the text! If you include the original order it was still only around 14 working days. Tomorrow is going to be better than Christmas.
