I also got the Case Logic QNS-111 Black for travelling. I like the fact the inside has ridges on the bottom to help airflow.

I don't really intend to do heavy gaming when running on the battery, only when plugged into the wall, so hopefully throttling shouldn't be too much of an issue?

Looks quite nice from a quick glance, but I often hear laptop kind of components are weaker to their desktop relatives, it may not be the case, but if it is the GPU possibly won't be as powerful as expected, maybe do a google to confirm, or someone on the forums may reply too. I'm not sure how much space is available upto on these builds, but 120GB, while fast being an SSD you may have a little trouble if you play even just a handful of certain modern games, this is because they are now reaching 20GB+ at times and when you put your OS on that takes up a hefty chunk of it and all this before the possibility of mods in games, should that be your thing. :S

Other than that, the screen size would make me weep, but I imagine you'll be fine with it for the fact that's what you ordered.

It's not strictly a gaming machine, more something to use on the move. I went for something with the ability to play games should the time arise. It's not going to replace my GTX 670 and i5-3570k desktop :)

The gaming benchmarks are good anyway the screen is only 1366x768 and the GT650M handles that pretty easily, at that resolution all modern games will play pretty well and all older games will be a total breeze. The difference in performance between the 650m with DDR3 and DDR5 is minimal at best and the DDR3 one wins in some benchmarks.

It will be a great wee mobile gaming machine!

Ah, well that makes much more sense to me now. Hope you enjoy it when it is delivered.

I'll probably do a full review, complete with photos and benchmarks.

Exciting!

I take it you'll be connecting to a monitor :) I have 15 inch and thats too small for me :) so 11inch would kill me i think.

Looks very nice and would work a treat i mus say

It won't be connected to a monitor - I already have a home PC for gaming and general use that's hooked up to a 24" monitor and then a 40" LED TV for controller orientated games.

This will be used for travel, staying away from home, and lazy surfing on the sofa.

I've used 15" laptops before and found them to be too heavy and bulky. None of the slim ultrabooks have a decent GPU, so I found this to be the perfect compromise. I'm a big fan of small factor devices. So much in fact that I have one of those rareish discontinued Samsung 8.9" Galaxy Tablets.

I have paid for an inferno too. It's a slightly lower spec. But I have not received it yet. I placed my order on the 8th and it's still not build. They are now onto working day 15! Estimated build time was 8 - 10 working days.
Will post full review and spec once I have had it to test.
