Need to know the basics-

Budget, what monitor it's this being hooked up to, type of games you want to play.... yada yada

Wasting your money on the Intel, unless you want to go flight simming then you probably wont need 32gb of ram, 450W PSU is not giving you any capacity to upgrade further, get rid of Bullguard.

Case is not my territory, sorry.

Upgrade to Silver warranty for a fiver.

The Budget is 2000 quid and that the games I play are Valorant, Rainbow Six, Rocket League, Minecraft and Call of Duty. The Monitor has a 165hz refresh rate and 1ms response rate. I do flight sim occasionally and use Sony Vegas Pro to make edits.

for £2000 you have the perfect budget for a 1440p machine & monitor. Are you set on 1080p? There’s no reason why you should be unless you play competitively.

if I were you I’d keep the 1080p Monitor for browsing etc and purchase a new 1440p one for gaming.

the biggest recommendation I can give you is to cancel your purchase and re-configure an AMD machine using the 5600x and 570 (non-strix) motherboard as its core. AMD are far superior in every way for current performance and future potential.

if you spec up a new AMD system we can help you tweak to ensure you’re getting the most for your money.

I know it seems a pain to cancel but it’s honestly so worth it - your current intel build won’t stay relavent for 2 years, a 5600x AMD system will give you 10 years with GPU upgrades as required

I do play competitive but I have ordered a second 1440p monitor. It just hasnt come yet. I personally like Intel so choosing an Intel processor was just a obsession of mine. I also have a corsair obsession hence the iCUE setup

what is it about intel you like? If you like the performance they used to have then I absolutely agree with you, however that performance now just doesn’t exist and AMD blow them out of the water in every department. When you’re PC has a cooler on top of it and you’re in the midst of a 5 hour gaming session would you know whether you have intel or AMD processor?

I can see why you’d have an allegiance to intel - it’s just incredibly outdated these days & you are throwing away money.

The only time you’ll recognise you’ve bought an intel machine is when you come back to this website in 2 years time to buy another machine because yours can’t keep up with current gaming requirements. Either that or it’s blown up.

just to note - I’ve always had intel machines and found switching to AMD tough. But it’s the best decision I’ve ever made

Can't you upgrade an existing PC though? I will save up some money and upgrade later. It's such a hassle cancelling and I took advantage of the Black Friday sale. Also, doesn't Intel have faster processors than AMD. I am probably wrong but you cannot tear me away from my love of Intel.

Note: I'm probably being really dumb and probably should make the right choice but I am not going to.

Also, I am still valuing your opinion. If I didn't I would not have posted this spec to Forums

It’s your money, but if you read this you’ll understand why we don’t recommend Intel.

We love you Ukraine
You can't put an AMD CPU into an Intel motherboard, they're entirely different platforms. Intel are a huge mistake these days, they're the budget option that should be avoided.

Not really, Intel are releasing Rocket lake early next year as a stop gap model and then try and sort their architecture out.

the other bit, it’s potentially pointless Intel owners buying high speed M.2 drives as they probably won’t get PCIe 4.0

Having had 20 years of Intel, it’s not that I am pro AMD, however there is no chance I would be using Intel now.
