Music Producer who likes to casual game (Budget £2000)

Hello please see the following below, I'll also add my current PC with the only difference being I now have a GTX 1080TI instead.
So I'm looking for an improvement on my current PC, I don't have any issues with gaming really but more for my music project files, more complete projects tend to max on CPU, so I want more headway here, having better performance for gaming is also nice of course, but I'm not super bothered by this. I want the best value upgrade I can get. So if somebody suggests something for an extra £200 that would be a mega upgrade I'll be fine with that but less so for minimal upgrade for the same amount.
I put the budget as £2000 but if I can spend less than that and it only being a minimal downgrade on the 2k I'd prefer that.

Thank you!

I'm very confused by this build. This is essentially not a gaming PC as the 710 is incapable of gaming and is worse than the onboard graphics. Are you planning to replace the 710, say with your 1080 Ti?

The other questions would be (a) what monitor do you use, and (b) why do you need a Firewire card?

My biggest concern is the choice of a mini case, as that seriously limits current component options (motherboard, PSU, GPU length, cooling, etc), along with future upgrade possibilities.

Are you planning on moving the 1080Ti over to the new PC, or buying a new GPU to fit in once you have the PC?

Here's the relative performance of your 1080Ti vs current (i.e. 2 year old) GPUs, remembering that new GPUs are about a week away...

You won't need the GT710 in either case as the CPU has an integrated (basic) GPU anyway.

If you're replacing the old PC, then you may be able to save £100 by transferring the Windows licence to the new machine.

Thanks for this!
Yeah the case tbh I have no idea about, so will definitely choose a bigger one. I will be replacing the old PC yes, so I can do the windows transfer. In terms of GPU I was just going to move the 1080 over but if I can pick up a much better one for a decent price then im 100% open to that

So I thought I needed a firewire as my old Audio Interface was firewire, but I have a new one now which isnt so I now remember I dont need the firewire.
Yeah I was just going to use my current 1080 for now & replace that as and when.
