I love Elite! I need to get back into it in VRIf I can stop playing Elite long enough, i might have to treat myself to this when it comes out...
I started it on the Spectrum (a million years ago I know), then found it on the Xbox (which is an ok port but not brilliant). Back in love with it again, especially as it drives the Mrs nuts!!! I've not tried a VR rig so haven't got a clueI love Elite! I need to get back into it in VR
It's incredible in VR, I'd almost say it's worth getting a headset just for Elite, you can sink years into it.I started it on the Spectrum (a million years ago I know), then found it on the Xbox (which is an ok port but not brilliant). Wouldnt have the first idea which VR kit to buy mateIt's incredible in VR, I'd almost say it's worth getting a headset just for Elite, you can sink years into it.
The best one by far is the Valve Index, but it's expensive. I have no doubt that prices will start coming down over the next few years.Wouldnt have the first idea which VR kit to buy mate
You can literally lose days playing Elite mate and no, you can play solo, so the only ships you'll see are AI ones and you "shouldn't" get blown up straight away. Apparently it's the mutts nuts in VR too.Disappointed of all this chat without a single link to the release trailer to have people drooling
I'm not hitting the button yet as I need VR. I can't accept playing this game on a screen now. As soon as they confirm VR support I'll be hitting that button and you're unlikely to see me on here for weeks haha.
Re Elite Dangerous, I've never played it. I've always fancied flying around in a space ship though. Is it something that you can get into casually without being blown to smithereens within 3 seconds by a 12 year old (every FPS game I've ever played online).
As @Grumpywurzel says, you can play with AI. It is pretty special in VR, would highly recommend.Disappointed of all this chat without a single link to the release trailer to have people drooling

Anyone else looking to pre-order this?

ThanksAn AMD spec would always be recommended, for the moment at least. Tom had already made the purchase so it was too late to change it over.
