Missing Wireless Antennae

Hi Guys,

Just after a bit of advice really, PC came today (thankfully!) however i've gone through the welcome pack, removed the inside packaging, and cant see that they've put antennae for my wireless card in the welcome pack. Im suspecting they haven't included them in my package, because I cant find them after carefully looking through everything (even checked inside the computer when removing packaging lol.... What should I do? Currently on the phone waiting to speak to someone at PCS... rather disappointing!

Anyone know if I can pick these up from a brick & mortar store at all?

|Apologies @Martinr36 , just read the post - it seems as if the card has 2x ports where antennae would screw into? please correct me if im wrong! They're definitely not in the box if thats the case!

Unfortunately call wait times are very long at moment but do think you need to talk with them. While PCS have an open case policy that lets us work on machines without voiding warranty we still have to be careful. Not sure what could go wrong with antennae but better to be sure.

That is where they should go. Is there anywhere you may have missed in the box, there is always a ton of packing.

No i've checked everywhere, through the booklets, taken cables out 1 by 1 and put back in 3 times hoping they magically appear, checked inside the PC, inside the main box, looked through the plastic squeeze lock bags... no where!

Afraid it will have to be a call to PCS. Hopefully others on here can advise as well, it may be ok to add your own sourced locally but I would not suggest that myself as it is your kit not mine.

Finding odd bits can be a hassle, luckily not long before lockdown a new computer shop opened near me and they are really good. There is another but they are so bad I would try to source parts at the greengrocer rather than them.

Last resort is phoning but, unless you have a call inclusive package, not sure 2 antennae are worth a potential £20+ phone call (especially given that's more than the Wi-Fi card itself!)

Of course, as noted above, there is the option of finding some antennae yourself...as long as they are correct and don't damage anything, then it should be fine. Trying to find some may be a different matter however...I tried looking some time ago when someone else's had been overlooked and I couldn't find any anywhere

Yeah I understand, not blaming anyone Im sure i'd do the same, we're all human! luckily got inclusive min's with phone contract so waiting on the phone now. Worst case, i'll go pick up a 15m ethernet cable and just wait for the Antennae to show up! Thanks guys, appreciate it!

If your not in an urgent rush for them Drop them an email saying they missing and i'd imagine they will just post them out to you

Assume you are calling on mobile so ok with call inclusive. I know people who have been caught out with landline deals that offer all in deals but you have to stay under one hour per call, after that charges kick in.

I'm lucky with my sky ultra broadband package it includes voip, so no call charges at all
