Missing part?

Hey guys, just received my PC today, they’ve done a stellar job building it as I expected. I have a ASUS Maximus XII motherboard but can’t seem to find the antennas for the Wi-Fi for it anywhere in the packaging? I’m new to PCs etc but is it meant to come with them?

They will be in the welcome box with all the other bits that weren't used. ;)

If they aren't in the welcome box, then it looks like they've been forgotten. Easily done given they are two small items...give PCS a call and they should send some out to you
Yeah I think they may have forgotten it because I can’t seem to find them anywhere, no bother, I’ll contact them :) 👍🏼

You might have trouble getting through on the phone, if recent posts are anything to go by. Might be worth starting on the Live Chat as you normally get a quicker response there, see if they can help you out. Otherwise you'll just have to join the phone queue...

Will try that now cheers mate! :)

I just don't understand why they would write 1xantenna.....the motherboard pictures clearly show 2 antenna connections...not to mention that the Intel AX201 (the Wi-Fi card used in that motherboard) comes with 2 antenna!
From what I gather it’s a single antenna with cables coming off them either side to fit into the two slots, my pc has those slots but yeah I think they must have forgotten to put the actual antenna in there haha 😂

The Wi-Fi still needs the antenna (you may just have been lucky that not having them didn't affect things

The Maximus XII Hero motherboard should come with, and I quote from the ROG site:

"1 x Wi-Fi Antenna"

Whether that means Antenna singularly or a singular pair of Antenna is a different matter but, given that it has 2 Antenna connectors, I assume it means 1xpair
Ah okay, must be motherboard dependent. I was told via live chat that they weren't included, so figured that was a PCS-wide kind of thing.

Don't the antennae just strengthen the signal, rather than being needed to establish a connection? Presumably there is an internal 'antenna' in the motherboard?

Not sure on that as the connectors are the standard connectors for the antenna to screw on to so it should be 2 antenna. I have also yet to see an Intel AX series Wi-Fi card only have one antenna. But, as it says in my signature, I am happy to be proved wrong....after all, I only have 99% knowledge of everything....aiming for 100% all-knowing knowledge is just not practical ;)
On most mobo WiFi, you get a cable with 2 screw ins that go to a puck which is the aerial, it’s not like on add on cards where you get actual antennae.

So something like this:
