Mid-end gaming PC. Recording, minor video editing. Any advice?

Afternoon all,

I'm after a mid-range gaming PC that would also possess the capability of recording/streaming, as well as basic video editing.
I plan on using two monitors, both 1080P, one for gaming and one for recording/streaming admin. I have both of these already.
I have no intention of exceeding 1080P, at all.

I want to play/record/stream various titles, maxing out around the Overwatch level.

Mid-high settings are fine by me, no need for ultra.

Price at £800 is already over my budget, and would ideally be lower.

Thank you for any advice.

I'm out and about at the mo so cant give you a full recommendation, just to let you know £800 is low end/ entry level for gaming, first thing I'd say is if you can wait to save roughly £400 there would be a very considerable difference. I'm sure someone will be along to give you detailed advice soon, if there isn't when I'm home I'll have a look into this for you

Thank you Samwil,

I having a look at upgrade-wise, I'd be willing to go for the 8GB RX580 in place of the 1650, but I don't intend on playing demanding games at all, I'm happy with 1080p, high graphics. Thank you.

As above, £800 is entry level especially for both streaming and gaming. But doable.

Your spec above is solid. Up the PSU to 550W to open up a wider range of future GPU options. It's a worthy investment of £5 to not have to worry over whether 450W is really sufficient for X or Y future model.

You could drop the RAM to 3000MHz if pennies count.

I wouldn't compromise on anything else though, I think you've just about nailed the budget level sweet spot, without being forced into excessive compromises.

I'd generally recommend the RX 570 over the 1650, as it's a bit more powerful, costs about the same. Also a free game as a bonus. Or as you say the RX 580 as it's only £30 on top of that right now, which is fair for the extra performance it offers.
