Messed up my order?

This pc is purely for gaming. Ive never owned a.gaming pc hence my lack of knowledge. I'm on a budget of under 2k. I will be using the Samsung g7 for the first year or so with a possibility of getting a 4k monitor one day. Honestly I don't know what games yet but it will be mostly shooters and racing games.

I went with Intel because I thought it was good. If I'm wrong. I will change, I dot really want to spend this amount of money on the wrong parts. Thanks for the replies.

Yep they need to cancel, it’s getting them in a place where they have a firm AMD build that when they cancel will take original orders place.

Also, they may wish to stick with Intel but change rest of build, M.2 and memory jump out.

This is where budget does come in to it, we mainly try for a balanced long life build rather than just aiming for a high cost single item.

I made the same mistake as you and ordered a badly spec'd Intel Build, it is possible to ring and 'migrate' to an AMD build whilst keeping the same order number as this is what i did after the helpful advice i got on here.

To do this you need to ring, if you email or use Live Chat, they tell you, you need to cancel. Not sure why they give conflicting info depending on your method of contact but give them a ring first. Unless you've just recently ordered then it may be easier to cancel. But migrating keeps your place in the queue for components.

My very first post back in July / August opened with AMD build as I realised Intel had issues.

You would be looking at £2500 to do the 5900X properly. It's an over-the top choice for gaming though. It will definitely serve you well but it's a marginal upgrade in gaming performance compared to the 5600X.

It requires a lot of supporting hardware to keep it running optimum.

@Backers92 the last build by @AgentCooper is a good solid build.

and is good for a good number of years, bar the gfx card the rest is likely 7-10 years of gaming.

The PSU allows an increase in GFX in a few years time, realistically that is probably 2 releases of Nvidia.
