Have you checked through all the settings in game to make sure there is not a setting that limits frame rate somewhere. I know some games do have this.

Similarly, check the nvidia settings for those games

Just seems odd that you are exactly 60 and 90 FPS on the two games - as if perhaps a setting somewhere is capping them.

I know that Valhalla is a seriously poor port and runs very badly. There are a few tweaks that you can do to try and get more out of it. Even at 1080p most are seeing under 100fps, which is just ridiculous.

RDR2 seems to also have a similar limitation. Around 100fps should be about right for that game on ultra.

I don't know Destiny 2 though, I have it and I've played it a fair bit..... I just haven't checked the FPS.

With all of those games I don't think the FPS should have an impact though. Anything over 60FPS should give a really smooth experience. Is it the numbers that you are chasing or are you unhappy with the way the game plays?

Looking at Ubisoft's own projections, a high-end 1440p system would be looking to run Valhalla at 60FPS at Very High settings:

The fact you're gettin 60FPS at ultra is really good going by the looks of it.

What it is. When i been gaming and people been watching or i been uploading stuff. They all been saying that my gpu not running right as i only getting around 105fps on destiny 2 using 3080 card. But others using 2080ti cards getting over 200fps.
So i just tried counter strike and getting 130fps. But i thought i should be getting alot more frames for that game. So now its making me wonder if the card isn't running good like people saying. I have just been on nvidia forum and others having same issues.

Are you sure they are running at 1440p and not 1080p?

When it comes to FPS there are many variables that need to be considered. 1440p is almost 80% more pixels than 1080p. With that in mind, I would fully expect a 40% reduction in FPS when increasing resolution.

Have you ran the Destiny 2 benchmark? At 1440p the expected norm is around 150fps on the 2080Ti. IIRC the 3080 benchmarked around 20% higher than the 2080Ti so should be around the 170-180fps mark.

The simplest way to check the performance, as suggested previously, is 3DMark. If you run TimeSpy etc, this should show you where you are vs where you should be.

Just done the 3DMark.

On Valhalla, I am running it on Custom (mainly medium / recommended) on my GTX 1060 6gb at over 60fps On 1080p 24” monitor.

but a couple of settings I do have on high.

Some of the settings do kill the game on my card, however they add zero to the game play so turned off.

It really is a case of going over settings slowly and seeing impact.

Yet another console game ported on to PC And poor optimisation.

other than that great game in some respects but missing huge chunks such as side quest management.

Can you post a link to the score? You should get it at the end where it says "Compare results online". This will provide a unique URL that allows us to easily identify parameters and hardware.

3070 can do control at 1440p and 100-110fps with dlss and Ray tracing.

Your system is underperforming compared to everyone's benchmarks.
