Looking for new build, GPU in hand

Hi All,

Looking for some advice for a new gaming PC, I already have a GPU (3070ti) and monitor, (see below) but am looking for a desktop to put the card into. Budget would be between £1000 to £1300.

The PC will be used for gaming and the monitor will be a MSI 2560x1440 IPS 165HZ Freesync/G-Sync gaming monitor. As I mentioned above I already have the monitor, GPU and keyboard etc

I would like to be able to play games like Back 4 Blood and the new Battlefield at high settings.

I have been out of the PC building game for a while now so any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks
Apollo

@ApolloL4D. The build above from @Martinr36 is well balanced. It might be sensible, however, to tell us the make and model of the 3070 Ti since the case choice might be impacted if the specific GPU is large. I think that case has a max GPU length of 300mm and some 3 fan 3070 Ti cards are longer than that.

that's a good point, and yes 300 is the max

Thanks for info both! the card is a Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3070ti, I can confirm it has three fans on the card. I guess i will need to change the case.

With regards to the CPU is there much difference in gaming than the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Six Core CPU and the AMD Ryzen 7 eight cores CPU?
I only ask as the cost does not seem to go up that much when I change it to the AMD Ryzen 7

Sorry if that is a stupid question!!!

Thanks again for all the help!

Changing the CPU to the 5800x would also require a better motherboard and better CPU cooling as the 5800x runs a lot hotter. It would greatly increase the costs, see below example. also went with a case that would definitely fit the GPU

Case
CORSAIR iCUE 5000X RGB MID TOWER GAMING CASE
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Eight Core CPU (3.8GHz-4.7GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4)
Motherboard
ASUS® TUF X570-PLUS GAMING WIFI (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX) - RGB Ready!

Thanks for the help all. I think I will go with Martins build as above and change the case to the bigger one.

Regarding the CPU I guess it will be a long time before we see games using eight(8) cores. I just hope the above build will serve me well for the next few years!

Thanks
