Hi,
I am contemplating ordering a machine with the spec shown below and would welcome advice.
I intend buying the Asus ProArt Display PA278QV monitor.
I seem to be unusual in that I don't have any interest in games at all. Nor do I want flashing lights etc - just a nice (metaphorically) beige box that does computes. I would be using it mostly for photography (Lightroom and Photoshop) and for video editing (Premiere and After Effects).
So I have opted for a fairly low spec graphics card (it is on the list of approved cards for Adobe Premiere). I have gone for a highish end Ryzen with lots of cores, which Adobe products seem to like. I have gone for a board that supports 4th gen PCIe to get the best out of a fast M2 system disk.
I already have a SanDisk Extreme Pro 2Gb external hard drive with my photos on. This is capable of very good performance if using a USB 3.2 2x2 port - the motherboard I have chosen does not have the 2x2 port but I intend buying a PCIe card with a 2x2 port.
Is the cooler I have chosen appropriate?
What about the case?
The final issue is that I intend to house and use the PC in an open cupboard with the monitor in front of it. There would be space around the edge of the case. Could this cause airflow problems?
Thank you for your advice.
