Looking for a new Gaming/Streaming PC but don't know where to start

Hi guys,

Currently looking for a new PC and I have no idea where to even start, I don't really have much knowledge on PC Specs so would appreciate some help.

Monitor - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DTN4BM8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title I currently have 2x of these monitors but will most likely upgrade to proper gaming monitors but could also do with some advice on those as well
Uses - I would like to use this PC for gaming, streaming and video recording/editing. I plan on playing games like Hell Divers 2, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, GTA 6 (when it releases) and other games like that
Max Budget - I would say max probably around £2700 but would be great if I could get it lower

Any advice/help is very much appreciated

The new hardware will be announced at CES in less than a week (January 6th), so there's no reason to buy anything right now. I would recommend waiting a week or so before seeking relevant guidance.

Something came up and I didn't have the money to buy the one recommended and I'm actually glad you sent this because I couldn't find the original post

I was unaware of this. Do they release the new hardware there and then or is it released like a few months down the line because ideally I would like a new pc within the next month or so because my current one is clinging on to life and I'd rather not keep pulling money out to fix it

Usually within a couple of weeks of the announcement on Jan 6th

If you come back on the 7th we’ll know release dates and pricing. 3rd part benchmarks are embargoed usually up to 24 hours before release
Hi so I’ve had a look at CES and I see they’ve announced some new stuff but have no idea what works with what.

What would the budget be for a new monitor? Would that be included in the £2700, or separate? The monitor will determine the best route to go down, we want to maximise the monitor performance without leaving any GPU performance on the table. The GPU will always be the first thing to upgrade so it's unwise to over-shoot here.

With a budget around £2700 I would expect a £4-500 monitor to be on the cards. If you're not looking to spend that sort of cash on a monitor, let us know and we will align the system to suit.

I plan on using the £2500-2700 for the PC and the monitors were going to be later down the line, maybe in 6-12 months but I would spend maybe about £300-400 per monitor

With that in mind I wouldn't purchase the system with a high end GPU right now. I would hold off until the monitors are on the cards and upgrade the GPU at the same time to match them. You'll get better bang for your buck by doing it that way and you can sell on the card that you have to increase the budget.

With the monitors, you only need 1 good gaming monitor, the other monitor can be anything. They don't need matched or anything like that but it's often good to get a similar aesthetic. Typically users will have a high end primary monitor and a lower end 1080p monitor for streaming apps/netflix/browsing/etc while playing.

One of the monitors that you currently have would fit this mould nicely, so you would only need one new monitor, which with a £600-800 budget would be brilliant.

Not sure what aesthetic you are going for so if there's a case you prefer shout up and we can have a look. This build is based on top end 1080p gaming for your current monitors. Take the saved budget to put towards the purchase of a new GPU and monitors next year after some saving. If you aim for around £1000 for the GPU and £600 for the monitor you should have a fantastic pairing.

I really like the price of this build, never used an AMD Radeon graphics card before do you think it'll run high end games fine as well as being able to stream/ record them? Also I'm looking for a case with very little to non RGB lights in and by the looks of the one you've added here the fans are RGB? Correct me if I'm wrong of course I don't really know much about this sort of thing so I've had a little look and I quite like the look of the 'Lian Li O11Dynamic XL ROG Certified Gaming Case' I believe it is slightly bigger and a bit more expensive (£146) than the one you picked but let me know what you think. Also could you recommend a gaming monitor preferably 24 Inch as I also don't really know what I'm looking for when it comes to those as well. Sorry for all the questions but thank you for the help.

So I’ve been thinking about it, I’ll probably be able to buy a new monitor in like a month or two so would it not be easier to just add the better graphics card in now? I’m just thinking it’ll probably save me a bit in terms of sending the PC away to put the graphics card in.

Putting a GPU involves little more than opening the case, uncrewing an expansion slot cover on the back of the case, and clicking the GPU and power cable in, and then screwing the GPU to the back of the case in the same place you unscrewed the expansion slot cover.

The new GPUs aren’t released until the end of the month and we should see reviews start hitting next week
