I did a search and this didn't come up... apologies if its already been discussed but ... If anyone's missed it - I can wholly recommend the Lazarus Project - I've enjoyed both seasons, great mix of sci-fi themes and action. Mind bending time manipulation stuff!

Reviews are very mixed, from people giving one stars to people giving 10 and not much in between, but if you check the individual episode ratings, they're more in the 8.5 region, so I do wonder if there may be some review bombing going on for whatever reason.

Just started watching The Burial. I'm about 15 minutes in and I just know I'm going to love it. There's a nostalgic feel to this movie. I know I'm sounding like a fossil but it has hints of "they don't make them like that anymore" about it.

Based on a true story (no doubt loosely)
Tommy Lee Jones (acting his socks off so far, really feel for the character already)
Jamie Foxx

Few other recognisable faces but this one flew totally under the radar for me

Finished the movie. Stand by it, complete nostalgia watching it.

Some obvious tones of racism throughout but just timely reminders more than anything else, well owned by the characters throughout which is refreshing to see.

Watched it with the GF a few nights ago. She absolutely hated it (no spoilers for reasons). I quite enjoyed it but it did lack in some areas for me. What I will say is that the entire movie unsettles you from start to finish, I love that in a flick.

Just watched American Underdog. Another of those movies that you could pretty much write the script. It's always better when the story is real though and the sum up at the end is just mind blowing. Decent performance by Zachary Levi though, I've not seen him in much but this fit him really well and he played the part well. The last 10 minutes would bring a tear to a glass eye!

Just watched U-571, a movie that's eluded me for years (it just never grabbed my attention). What a cast it is in that movie, fantastic performances all round. All that was missing for the movie to be top drawer was to have the crew being British and the story could have been loosely based on true at least.

Really good movie, took the shine off the achievements of the British Navy though.... so has to drop a few points for that.

I was really looking forward to it. The trailer made it look fantastic.

I started watching it but I was a little distracted. There didn't seem to be any dialogue and it seemed to jerk back and forward without any real purpose. I got fed up and ended up sticking on something else.

I was fully expecting it to be due to my lack of attention that I wasn't enjoying it, now it seems that might not be the case afterall.

The key premise of the movie is the 'silent' in the title, in as much as there is no spoken content (maybe a couple of sentences throughout the whole film).

But it wasn't even a good gun/killing fest either.

Re-watch the old Charles Bronson Death Wish or Mechanic for a much better experience.

I'm really glad I had another episode of Slow Horses to watch afterwards

I've only started episode one, but I love the setup, it's very broody which anything like this should be, it feels quite legitimate also. I'm really looking forward to it, and Kurt Russell is just a legend in anything.

Yeah I've been really impressed with it so far! There is an connection to the King Kong movie with Jack Black I'm sure of it?

Just watching 12 Strong with Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon, it's an extremely raw film about war against the Taliban in Afghanistan. It doesn't get great reviews, but I get the impression it's quite an accurate portrayal.

It did make me appreciate just how difficult things must have been over there.
