Any tech purchase is an unknown as to weather it will fail or not early on, that's the issue with any tech, there's no guarantee that it won't fail. Warranty covers you for that. Silver warranty extends your shipping costs from 1 month to 1 year and only costs £5

Substantially slower. It's fine if you need to transfer stuff, but you'd need a secondary internal storage drive on the build I'd imagine? Normally we'd configure a 1Tb storage HDD by default.

You've configured an SSD, there's no benefit to an SSD for storage, an HDD would be better, and substantially cheaper.

I get that @SpyderTracks but for £33 difference even moving files such as video's etc will it not be much quicker? Surely even for storage it will be better option?

Storage doesn’t benefit from SSD apart from transfers, but the main reason it’s not done is that an SSD fails without any warning, whereas you get sequential failure on an HDD. So with an HDD you’ll have good time to get a replacement drive and copy the data off before it fails, you won’t get anything like that with SSD, it works one minute and fails the next.

When moving files the limiting factor will be the slowest device, so if you're moving files from an SSD to an HDD they won't run any faster than the HDD speed.
