LIAN LI 011 D alternatives?

Currently got an order sat in pre production with pcspecialist, had an email come through saying that the case is out of stock and earliest chance of it being back in stock is the 5th of March and that isn't a concrete date.

I only really picked the case after seeing it recommend a few times on the forums while lurking but I do like the open side or goldfish bowl design.. Not really sure what it's called lol

I don't particularly want to be waiting months for my PC though so does anyone have recommendations that'll work with the rest of my parts list below?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn’t want to wait either.

You can always source the case yourself and send it in. It’s a great case and cases seem to be in thin supply on PCS at the moment due to the new GPU’s coming out and demand for builds being high.

Hi there.. Thanks. I didn't post the information in this as I didn't really think it was relevant to my question about just a case but here you go

Monitor: Not sure of the exact model but it's a HP 1080p 144hz but will be upgrading to 1440p at some point soon.

Uses: Gaming mostly, occasionally streaming but nothing major.

Budget: 3000? But again this is about a case and the current case is £167 via pcspecialist so around that price, preferably under £200.

Everything I've seen about the case makes it seem fantastic honestly so ideally yeah I'd stick with it but to make things easier I'd rather just select one that's hopefully already in stock rather than having to deal with getting hold of one, sending it off etc

I was looking at the CORSAIR 6500X, in terms of looks it's fairly similar. I was just hoping someone would know if it's maybe lacking in things.. I don't know enough about PCs and definitely not pc cases lol

Fractal North XL or 5000x would be good alternatives if they're in stock

Such a shame as the O11D is such a fantastic case, but totally get you wanting to get the order through

Unless you've got a small, fast m.2 to go in already, then most of us would recommend a 2-drive setup. A primary 512GB-1TB Solidigm P44 Pro for the OS, apps, games launchers, and a secondary 2-4TB Corsair or P41 Plus for game installs. We'd stay away from the latest Samsung models as they're not as reliable, nor have the endurance of the Corsair/Solidigm offerings.

Also, that PSU is only just enough for the GPU you've selected, and won't give much headroom for a GPU upgrade in 2-5 years time. We'd say 1000W ATX3.1 at a minimum for a 5080 (and 1200W for the 5090).

I've got a a spare m.2 from crucial im planning on chucking in it but thanks for the advice! :)
Also not planning on upgrading GPU for a long while after this so will cross that bridge when I come to it haha but thank you again

Annoyingly it doesn't actually say if its in stock or not. I've just been sat with my order in pre production for a week until I got an email :(
I'll check out those two and see which I like the look of best, thank you

I'd go for one of the Solidigms rather than a Smasung...the Samsungs have had a mixed couple of years with quesiton marks over their durability...patches have helped a bit but question marks still remain.

As to the PSU: It's your money but an extra £23 now (the upgrade from the 850w to the 1000w) seems more prudent than an extra £140+ down the road plus the annoyance of replacing the thing.
