It's worth it to take them off and re attached them mate, those antennae are extremely fussy I find. Slight over torque and it wont work properly slight under torque and it wont work.

It's worth popping them off and on a few times just to check

I plugged in an ethernet cable and can get 72.5 Mbps download / 18.4 Mbps upload, so definitely seems to be the Wifi network card. I'll have another play around with the antennae and see what's what

With a lot of fiddling with the antennae, I managed to get it to 2.36 Mbps download / 0.73 Mbps upload, but that's obviously not what I was after. Also, it can barely maintain a Bluetooth connection with my wireless headphones when I'm sitting at my desk as well.

Sounds like there's something seriously funky going on with the network adapter, then. I guess you could try removing it and then reseating it, but I don't know if that will make a difference. Otherwise, I guess you might need to be giving PCS a call in the morning.

In the meantime, if running an ethernet cable is a do-able stop-gap, I'd do that.

Same issue exactly this morning. Then I restarted the router and disabled and reenabled the wifi from my computer (NB for the umpteenth time) and now I'm getting 66.8 Mbps download / 18.3 Mbps upload. So definitely nothing to do with the computer position, internal walls, etc. I'm still mystified though, and concerned that it'll go back to tortoise speeds again. Any ideas?

Try changing the WiFi card to 2.4 GHz and disable 5.
