Laptop stopped charging

we have a laptop model no: P771DM1
it was working fine up until this morning when it stopped charging completely

any advice?

Will it boot with the battery out and just the power brick plugged in?

It's probably a dead power brick that's your problem then. Is there a fuse in the plug? It's worth checking that, otherwise it sounds like you need a new power brick.
