Laptop specs advice

So, i just pulled the trigger with the 36 months assurance
(just in case, because price XD)

I'll do a review when i'll have the laptop.

So, i'm back to my old asus g750jm
(i think i'll try to do a firestrike, juste for fun)

I have to send back my recoil for a little problem with the edge of my screen, that come off, just over the top of the left hinge.
Nothing too bad, but i think it has to be taken care before it's too late.

That being said, i was really amazed by the care that PCS put into the relationship with its customer.
I never had such a good experience, even with more "traditionnal" brand.
Who in the world send you a message just to be sure that the carrier took care of your package ? Oo
(even if the carrier has to come tomorrow and not today :D)
They even agreed with some of my requests, while they could juste say no.
I'm really amazed by this experience, really.
I know why i came here at the begining, and i know why i'll stay here
(and because i like you, you crazy forum member, but shush, it's a secret :D)

Damn, that's a shame. Does seem to happen on some of these TongFangs as the screen surrounds are glued rather than clip in. Definitely best to send it in now as you say.

And to be fair, i think that the hinge may be too tight (in comparison with my sis destians)

Well, the 15" recoil was a tongfang abd the 17" recoil was a clevo
Yeah, why do things simple when you can do it the hard way XD

My laptop came back yesterday. ON TIME !!!
Yeah, you read that right, FedEx was on time Oo

The PCS spokeperson were perfect, we echanged mail through the whole process and they were perfect (the two french speaking spokeperson). They did everything they could, even going to check to the workshop (it's probably not the best word, sorry) to comply to one of my specific request.

It was a shame that i had to sent it back, but damn, the management of my rma was almost perfect.

(Let's hope that i don't have to send it back another time ^^)

And i have more or less a ten of dead pixel on my new screen ... (that i paid to be installed during the rma)

i don't really know what to say ... it been less than a week i have it back ...

I know that this is murphy's law, bad luck, or wathever, but ...
i'm kinda sad about this ...
especially because i don't know if this will be taken in charge by PCS (because i don't have the dead pixel warranty with this screen) and because if it will (i wish), i'll have to send it back to the workshop, again ...

Well, i'm kinda depressed about this ...

Are you sure they're dead pixels and not stuck pixels? What tests have you done?

Yeah, that's pretty conclusive then, that's really bad!

Even though you don't have dead pixel, I would still raise it with them, they may be happy just sending you a replacement screen if you're happy to fit it.

How do you install a new screen on a laptop ?

edit : anyway, i sent a mail to the person who follewed my previous rma, i'll see what he say tomorrow

My laptop is back for a new rma, i just hope everything will be allright ^^
(the french pcs spokeperson was fantastic, really, he really is worthy of every compliment i can find ^^)

I sincerely hope it doesn't take too long, I would have thought they'd treat is as a priority given it was a result after a previous fix.

So, a little bit of follow up
My laptop is stuck in cologne because FEDEX ...
i had hope, as it went well last time, but it look like it was the once in lifetime wining transport XD
