Laptop Spec / Purchase Feedback Please

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum.

I'm looking to buy a laptop primarily to get into video editing as a career option. I'll be using Adobe Premiere Pro as the main editing program.

I also be using After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator - so I know I need something that can deal with them.

I've gone for a Laptop as I want to be on the go.

I'm not really clued up on computers and the specs needed tho - only that the CPU, Graphics Card and RAM is important.

I wondered if I could get feedback over the below spec of a laptop I configured, and to see if it would be good enough for the above, or if its overkill.

I would want the laptop to be good/ powerful enough to last for a number of years.

my budget is £1800 inc VAT (as you'll see its slightly above)

Hello, so, technically, this is a pretty good spec' I'd say.
But the recoil is made to be use with the optional cooler ... (I don't like this that, to be fair ...)

I don't really know what the SSD corsair worth ...

So, i propose you an other configuration, that is, too, a little bit over 1800£
Because, i add the golden warranty (instead of the silver one) and the dead pixel guarantee
I prefer have a good protection and not use it than not having it and need it ... (my apologies if this sentence don't make sense in english, in french, it does, i promise )

Anyway, this is what i propose you, it's more or less the same with those difference
- different chassis that is a little bit smaller (16" instead of 17", but with a thermal solution a little bit better for a "stand alone" experience (ie a vapor chamber)
- same port selection (plus a mini DP)
- a smaller battery

If you don't like this configuration (i can understand), i'd add the golden warranty and the dead pixel guarantee to your config
