Need urgent help, I feel like pulling my hair out trying to solve this issue.
Long story short, control center has had this bug since I have owned this laptop. I really enjoy the Vibrant mode setting. One day no matter what i'd do it defaulted back to the normal setting and no matter how many times id click on vibrant or any other setting it would not work. I couldn't figure out why ( still can not figure out why it does that to this day, even contacted pcspecialist they recommended I should uninstall/install it again. That's what I done and it was fine for about a year, like 2 months ago the same issue happened, I hadn't gotten around to uninstalling/installing again until yesterday I had some spare time I was like I may as well get this over and done with and thats where the issue arose.
Here is a short timeline of events
Uninstalled control center
laptop display went black
plugged into an external monitor and it worked, laptop display was no longer recognized in windows
I power cycled a good few times until I could get a picture on the external monitor.
tried to reinstall control center and it bricked the computer, but nothing.
eventually it turned on but no picture on both laptop and external monitor, tried a tv and 2 monitors, HDMI, display port no luck
i powered on/off about 10 times
I even restored windows to a time before I had uninstalled control center, again nothing. Windows was even more broken and no luck with the display
eventually, i end up reinstalling windows 11, i get through installation and the exact same issue happens. when i install control center I got no picture + no other display recognized
I went and bought a new ssd with another fresh install of win 11 and during set up the exact same issue I can't even get a picture to finish installing win 11
I have only been able to get the occasional picture from external display, laptop display not working at all.
for at least the last 8 months I have not been able to play really any games as everything would stutter really badly/rubber band even in single player games which makes me think this could be a dead gpu.
I believe I am out of warranty, I am more than happy to pay for pcspecialist to repair this issue if they can. I have no idea if this is a software issue from control center that's caused this, or if it's a dead gpu or a dead laptop display. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
