Laptop camera app not working

Testing out new laptop. Camera fine in Skype but in Camera app screen is black, updated everything but no joy

That sounds like an app issue. Are there any settings in that app that might need tweaking?

Yes been through them all. A second lot of Windows updates today may have fixed. The Camera app after being reset and also applying this second lot of Windows Updates has done the trick. So good news.
