On the Lafité II configuration page (specifically under the M.2 drive drop-down) there is an option for the SAMSUNG SM951 (a drastically faster M.2 drive than the other offerings and formatted incorrectly under the KINGSTON subsection). Wanting to avoid complications my questions are as follows:
a) Is this an oversight?
b) If it is an oversight, can the other M.2 drives listed be used as a boot drive?
c) If not an oversight, can the SM951 be used as a boot drive on this particular motherboard/laptop? (I've heard certain mobos do not support this)
d) Are there any considerable drawbacks (perhaps it is massively gimped by a limitation of the laptop) to this configuration?
My theory is to use my existing 1TB 2.5" SATA 3 HDD as a slave and an M.2 drive as a boot drive. If the SM951 is compatible I'll have it waiting for my desktop when I upgrade in the future.
