His data is a bit out of date. Before the 5000 series CPU's came out they were ahead on certain things, single thread CPU trumps all Intel 10th gen CPUS - https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html (11th gen isn't out yet). His reasons are very niche which don't apply to 99.9% of us :) And once you bring everything else into account I just couldn't recommend them over Intel :)

Interesting to see his thought trail tho :)
It's not just the performance though, it's a handful of other extremely important things like security, thermals, stability etc etc etc, if you read the link that have been posted it outlines it all.

Intel is an incredible poor choice for a current day system. The ONLY area it makes sense is competitive gaming at 1080p, anything outside of that, it's outperformed in every metric by AMD.

It’ll eat the Intel for breakfast, for all the reasons that @Scott mentioned in his earlier post.

The 3070 will do a decent job at 4K 60Hz. When you eventually get yourself a 4K 144Hz monitor there’ll likely be a newer GPU that’d outperform the 3080 available at that point in time. The system is built with the future in mind, should last the best part of a decade with the occasional graphics card update 🙂👍
I'm looking at the HP OMEN 27i Quad HD 27" LED Gaming Monitor - Black its 2k 165hz I think
