Hey everyone,

Its my first time buying a pc and i feel like i might overspend on the wrong things so i'd appreciate your thoughts on this build.

I've been told to get an intel i7/i9 processor. would that be the better option here?

Monitor - Alienware : AW2518HF 240hz - the other monitor included is just going to be one that i plan to use as a 2nd monitor and i dont think i need to spend a lot for that one.
Uses - it'll be a mix of gaming and streaming (Call of duty, destiny 2 mainly) - along with just casual business use (nothing too mad, just small video editing and photoshop)
Budget - The current price would be ideal for me but im open to going up to 1.8k - just want to hear everyones opinions but if you can bring it down that'll be great and if not then thats fine!

Thanks!

Presumably the RAM was something that you forgot to change as 4GB would not be enough for gaming, let alone streaming. You want a minimum of 16GB.

And talking of streaming: What platform is the streaming going to be done from? Is it purely PC streaming or will you be using the PC to stream from Xbox/PS? Just trying to work out if the capture card is needed or not as £200 is a hefty bit of budget and a lot can be done with that
Yeah the RAM was an oversight from my side. I’ll probably look to stream from PS & PC. The other capture card is always sold out lol

For a streaming and gaming build, the budget is nearly there. I'd probably be looking at something like this which wil give longevity as well as the components (specifically PSU) to upgrade to a more capable 1440p GPU down the line if so required (the 3060Ti will do a pretty good stab at it now but games are getting all the more demanding):

I was considering a 5800x but I am aware of how much CPU factors into gaming at 1080p and that, combined with streaming, makes me think the 3d is better. However, I'm by far from an expert so I'd wait for a second opinion
Thanks for the recommendation! how long do you reckon the 3060ti would last before i'd need to upgrade it in terms of games being to demanding for it?

Impossible to tell really with GPUs they tend to the be the part that gets changed the most

If it helps any I have a 3060Ti I'm running it at 1440p 144hz and I have no intentions to change it for at least a few years now. I'll only think about changing it when the performance starts to lag behind in newer games but as long as it's coping with 1440p 144hz then it's fine
