Do you have any proof to substantiate your claim about what site is legit or not? Court decision from any country to that effect? Any evidence whatsoever? And if you don't, this means that you are willing to enforce your own preference and opinion on everyone, simply because you feel that way. For example, take Gamers Outlet on TrustPilot (Windows 11 Home OEM license is $6). Around 36,000 happy customers disagree with you emphatically. I assume facts are irrelevant to wannabe dictators. Pathetic, useless echochamber willing to milk customers to enrich the bottomline of PCS! If I had to ventre a guess, I would say kickbacks.

Are you, or were those 36,000 customers OEMs?

If not, they're using the OEM licence ILLEGALLY - which was sold/licenced to a company (like Dell, HP, Lenovo, et all) to install on their machines when they were built. NOT to be sold on to unsuspecting customers.

I'm sure 36,000 people were very happy to buy illegal keys for $6...just like those people who buy those dodgy DVDs from the market were all happy. Doesn't make it legal though!

However, to balance my previous post...there was an EU court decision that said selling of previously installed software was not inherently illegal...but only if it was the original owner transferring the licence to another person...and bundles of licences could not be split to be sold individually or in smaller bundles (so for example, a 1000 licence OEM bundle sold to Dell, could not be split & sold to 1000 individual buyers).

It's already been explained to you that we don't discuss grey market software on this forum. It's against the rules, which are clearly marked.

I'm not entering a discussion on the legitimacy of the companies that are selling such offerings, there are far too many variables for it to be a closed case. Grey market is just that....... grey.

I have no issue with that, stay within the rules and there isn't a problem.

You are coming across as aggressive and argumentative. If you have a look at the tone of more than 50% of your posts you can see a pattern, you jump in on a thread just to argue. In real life this wouldn't be accepted socially, at least not in the social environments I enjoy. We want to keep a friendly and helpful tone which is what I'm trying to convey to you.

Microsoft won't bother suing them simply because they'll close down and open another LLC to hide behind...as the LLC structure means the people running it are not personally liable for any financial losses the company might incur if they're sued.
