Neyyah is an Australian game that is heavily influenced by the likes of Myst & Riven as particularly hardcore puzzle adventure games. I was always intrigued by Myst, I just didn't have the patience (or brainpower!) to figure out the puzzles. The demo for this was pretty interesting though. It's probably going to be something I'll keep an eye on.

The First Berserker: Khazan has a cool art style and is a hack and slash game. The slashing feels a little lightweight to my fingertips, but that's likely a control/balance issue which I suspect will be refined/improved by time the game releases next month. Very much one on my radar!

One recent tweak to Steam is that demos now typically have their own Steam store page and so can have seperate reviews. Haste: Broken Worlds has a 98% Overwhelmingly Positive rating off more than 1,200 reviews. This is a game for those who like to go fast!

Rebellion Developments are a British studio best known for the Sniper Elite series. Their next game is shaping up to be something very special indeed. Atomfall is effectively a Fallout/STALKER-style game set in a post-apocalyptic England. The game events will take place in the aftermath of an event similar to the fire at Windscale (now Sellafield).

Having picked out a few of the games that caught my eye in the Steam Next Fest, the event is now over. Valve have done their obligatory 50 most played demos list, and those demos remain available. Might be worth having a flick through!

Possibly one for @SpyderTracks. ASYLUM is an interesting looking game, being a horror adventure game set in a mental institute. Most games in that kind of setting are survival horror, so a game with a focus more on exploration could be worth a look.

That does look interesting............

Another one for @SpyderTracks is a demo for the upcoming Pathologic 3. The first two games were adventure games with survival horror elements, but slightly janky execution. The third looks to be more of the same and so is probably going to be worth keeping an eye on.

Reignbreaker is an Action Roguelike similar to Hades which released this week. It has a "medievalpunk" setting and looks pretty decent. It will probably be one of the last things I buy during this current sale.

One sad thing about the game is that the studio have announced they're closing down now that the game has released, but will be keeping a skeleton crew going for hotfixes and so on. It's been a brutal couple of years for game devs, so credit to them for getting the game over the line!

I love indie games that are a bit weird. ENA: Dream BBQ is the first part of a new adventure series and is a surreal experience. It released today and is entirely free. I'm curious to see what the future parts are like.

Will have to change your name to AccidentalMartinr36!

Although silly me thought I hadn't bought a game for March, and went and bought Assassins Creed Shadows at 33% off...then my AtomFall pre-order code dropped into my mailbox!!! So I'll keep AtomFall for April.

I can't remember who the point & click fans on here are so I can't tag 'em, but one P&C that had a bit of rough development cycle has been Rosewater. The dev team have made a few decent games in the genre and so Rosewater may well be worth a look.
