In a hurry

I've decided I can't wait till the 5070 ti comes out so I'm going to order my third computer from pcs 😁

This computer will be used 90% gaming, rpgs, strategy, roguelike ect with 10% surfing internet and watching YouTube videos.

I have a 1440p 180mhz monitor

My budget is £3k
I want to play games like poe2, diablo 4, total Warhammer at the highest possible 1440p settings.
Do you think I should maybe instead go for the rtx 4080 Super Card (2nd in the configuration) instead?

Please let me know what you guys think of this spec.

Thank your for your input. Just wondering how much difference in performance is there between the normal 5080 Zotac and the other one. Is it worth the extra £80? For the sake of £30 I may as well stick with the p44 and go for performance. I was tempted with the 5090 but when I saw the difference in price my jaw dropped 😦

Performance wise, there’s literally no difference between any 5080, it’s all the same actual GPU

Aftermarket cards simply come down to the cooling effectiveness and really brand loyalty. They all perform the same within a frame or two

Tried ordering but was told case has been discontinued. Can anyone advise me on another case for this build?

That's dream level stuff, the mobo is a very worthwhile upgrade, it's a top tier board.

Build is good. The only thing I would consider if it was me is the size of the second drive. As someone who has a 2TB dedicated game drive, they can fill up awful fast depending how many games you install....I currently have 14 games installed and am down to 410GB free space left. Some of the games I have are really big (such as Call of Duty, Forza Horizons 4 and 5, Forza Motorsport, Starfield, Mass Effect LE and Andromeda, Halo MCC and Infinite, Destiny 2), some not so much (Rage 2, No Man's Sky, Saints Row, Crew Motorfest). Anyway, the 4TB Corsair Core XT MP 600 is a good choice...but it's £120 more (good value for an extra 2TB) so may be more than you are willing to pay. Not saying you should buy it, just a thought. You can always add a third drive later if you wanted mind
Would definitely agree, 2Tb is a good size for a game drive.

Bit it is something you can add another drive later on, so if budget is a concern then it’s something you can do later on

I've ammended a final item to my build. A 4tb m.2 drive. That is it! My final final build which I'm ordering, which will hopefully last me a few years before upgrading it! Thank you all so much for helping me!

Hopefully it will play Poe 2 at 1440p better than my old i7 6700k gtx 1080 system!

The 4TB drive you picked is the more expensive of the 2 Corsair ones...you can save £61 by dropping to the Core XT one...slightly slower but plenty quick enough for a game drive
I've just literally ordered the build above with pcs. I'm happy enough with the 4TB drive. Just got to chew on my nails now till I get it. By the way what is the build stages it goes through? I read it somewhere before but can't find it

Will be pre-production for the longest waiting on stock of the GPU

+1, best case in the configurator IMHO

But you'd want a 4 pack of fans, the Corsair ones to match the cooler.
Just wondering why I need 4 more fans since the case comes with 3 fans anyway. And since up to 10 fans can be fitted in this case, I assume pcs will automatically put all the 7 fans in optimal places?

Just like to thank all you guys in this forum for coming up with this build.
I will definitely appreciate it when it comes to upgrading it in the future.
I ordered this on the 1st Feb.
Last chance to amend my order.
Can you guys see any final mistakes or changes you guys might come up with?
Been in pre-production for 3 days now.
I have a 1440p 180mhz monitor

This computer will be used 90% gaming, rpgs, strategy, roguelike ect with 10% surfing internet and watching YouTube videos.
I'm happy with the second m.2 drive being the more expensive so no worries there.

Warranty is a personal thing, I wouldn't really go for the gold warranty unless you have a fear. Typically, as in 99% of the time, any electronic hardware issues tend to present in the first 3-6 months. The silver warranty has you covered for a year from PCS but all other warranties are still in place (Ie the GPU is likely 5 years). It's worth considering but I understand it's not a whole lot of money for peace of mind. I would just question what you're actually getting covered that isn't anyway.

If you really want to push the boat out and go for all you can then the RAM could go a little higher. I wouldn't run higher than 6000Mhz but you could easily get one of the higher kits and get far lower latency. I reckon in the higher end kit you could see CL28 without too much trouble. This would be the performance peak for RAM on AM5. it would require manual fettling so may not be worth it for you.
