I Have recently purchased a new build from PC Specialist, parts listed below:

Ryzen 3900X
Asus TUF X570-PLUS gaming
64GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz (4 x 16GB)
6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060
2TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2
CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET

I settled on a 2060 as this is primarily a video editing rig and I want to upgrade to a 30 series card in the future. However I am quite concerned about the zotac card blower card supplied. I literally cannot find a card that looks anything like this anywhere except for one ebay page from January of this year. The cards are said to be supplied brand new yet my card arrived in the case covered in dust, it also has a DVI port and I cannot for the life of me find a 2060 blower card with a DVI port from Zotac. Below are the picture from my build:

Here are the results from GPU0-Z which cannot lookup the card or find it anywhere:

The only place I managed to find this card is on ebay linked here and pictures below:

I am at a loss to be honest, the card is covered in dust but it's meant to be brand new and it seems to be extremely rare, the only place that I have found this card is on a singular ebay listing. Is anyone able to shed some light on this? I got the computer two days ago and I have been trying to get to the bottom of this to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

There's no way it's fake, you can't really fake such a thing.

It's just one of the lesser known options. The reason it's probably dusty is it will have sat on the shelf for a while. The cards are up to 2 years old now so likely getting to the last of the supply, with the 30xx series being in full demand/flow.

I'm just worried it's a rehoused 10 series card with a bios flash - I do not understand how there is no record of this card anywhere except for ebay. I also expected them to take pride in their build quality and clean the parts before whacking it in the system seeing as I spent 2 grand on this.

I would 100% email them about the dust, don't care how long something has been sitting on a shelf it should have been in a box or covered. I'd be pretty upset if I bought something for £10 and it came covered in dust never mind spending thousands and getting it

Not sure about the Zotac sticker on it....however, that GPU is identical to the KFA2 2060:

Zotac may have entered an agreement with KFA to rebrand their cards? No clue to be honest. As to the dust, that is not very good...I would definitely speak to PCS about that as it should not be like that in there...it may simply be dust from inside the warehouse and the builder etc didn't clean it
They look very similar however there is only 2 display ports on the card you posted, there are three on mine and a DVI (which is also missing from the card you posted).

Thank you for the swift replies.

On hold to them now, will let you know what they say.

Have you contacted them about this card? Was yours also dusty?
Nope it wasn't dusty, I think I've found a similar one on Amazon listed as "Turbo GeForce RTX 2060", I'll make sure it's the same one we've got before linking it

Right I emailed Zotac customer support and NEWS FLASH - the card is second hand:

Hi Harrison,

The card you got is OEM version of 2060 which comes only in pre-build PC’s.

So basically this one cannot be purchase from store as a single component.

Kindest regards,

Eurotech Team

This is outrageous.

It's also very similar to this https://www.amazon.it/Asus-TURBO-Sc...060+made+in+china&qid=1611826164&sr=8-1-fkmr1
I am not home rn because of work, but I'll double check later

No DVI port and Zotac customer service have just told me this card is from pre-build PC's which most certainly makes this card second hand. I am now starting to wonder how many components they use are second hand.

This doesn't prove that the card is second hand... PCS are a system integrator and as such probably CAN get a hold of those cards (for their pre-built systems surely?)....

I'd suggest giving PCS a phone and discussing with them directly - even if the card IS second hand (which I seriously doubt but can't discount) only PCS can actually help here... no one on the forum can really do anything to move this forward.

That does not mean it’s second hand. PCS build computers they buy OEM products to put in it.

That’s what you got a new PC.

I'm pretty sure that PCS are considered an OEM supplier/manufacturer, so in fact it is entirely reasonable this is legit. Dust issue aside.

Ok well I may have jumped to conclusions, to be sure though I am pursuing Zotac customer service further to see if PC Specialist is listed as an OEM. I will inform the forum on what PC Specialist say.

You’re working yourself up over nothing. It’s an OEM model only provided to system integrators. PCS are a system integrator.

It’s not second hand, that’s nonsense.

PCS don't use fake or reconditioned cards, at least not knowingly. They do however use any brand or model of card that meets the specifications of the card you ordered (unless you opt for a specific named card).

If you're not happy then you need to phone PCS and discuss this with them.
