So I made the change above by accident, then kept it figuring it could be useful even though I will be using an ethernet cable.
However I saw a Bluetooth option for about 8 or 10 quid more, but it said intel on there, is there a compatibility issue? I don't want to spend a whole lot more, but Bluetooth could be useful, as my soundbar would not need to connect via usb. Saving me from the mess of at least that one cable. Though it is not essential for me, more of an emergency option to connect online.

The Intel card will work fine in an AMD system. Indeed, lots of boards for AMD processors have Intel WiFi built in. The Intel card will be a lot better, both for WiFi (it uses a newer standard) and for Bluetooth. That said, I'd be a touch wary of connecting to a sound bar with Bluetooth: it might have more latency than you'd like. I have a similar setup and while I use the Bluetooth sound bar for playing music in the background, it's not great for watching videos or gaming.

In that case is it worth upgrading for the wifi connection? I only intend on having a wired connection, with the wireless just there to be functional in the event I move the pc to a different location (temporary if at all)

Yes, the wireless N you currently have configured is very old and wouldn't be recommended. The Intel AX version is the one we'd always recommend as supports modern standards and is much faster. Plus adds bluetooth.

I have it up and running today, just downloading games but man was I blow away with what I am getting out of my GTX 1080 now, went from an unsteady 150 fps in valorant to something like 500 fps uncapped... only in the practice area mind you, I've yet to play competitive until I have everything sorted out...
