Hi, I'm not the sharpest tool when it comes to PC stuff so I need some advice/help!

I bought a gaming PC from here a few months ago and have been enjoying it until yesterday i realised i had not selected my download location for all my apps and games to the bigger hard drive i have but instead the standard drive which is now full - whats the best thing to do in this situation?

Im happy to factory reset everything as i have time and patience to do so - and what is the best place to downlaod games to?

Or do i simply drag everything across into the bigger drive? and if so which files do i leave where they are?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You have two options mate, if it's on steam you can right click a game go to properties and then let Steam transfer the files across. I think the option is "change storage location" but not sure off the top of my head

Another option is to highlight the files themselves, rightclick then select "move" and transfer the drive that way. Again on Steam you can "Verify Integrity of Game Cash" and it should pick them up and install them correctly

You shouldn't have to format the drive but there is no quick way to do this unfortunately

Anything that launches on start up I keep on my boot drive. Spotify and Discord aren't exactly large so it'll not hurt to have them on the boot drive. As long as the boot/OS drive is under 50% capacity it should be running optimally

Yep as above OS & Programs on the C drive, games etc to D (assuming you've only got 2 drives), if more than 2 drives, then games on the fastest of the additional drives and all other general files on the slowest
