I have a ASUS PRIME B760-PLUS motherboard, how do I figure out what memory would be compatible with it?

So currently I have 16GB PCS PRO DDR4 3200MHz in my PC and I'm finding that 16GB is potentially not quite enough so looking to upgrade to 32GB in the near future. I usually have a web browser open and like to switch between it and games which eats up a lot of memory.

When looking for new memory sticks am I right in saying that basically any DDR4 should fit in it? I know it's not backwards or forwards compatible at least. Just a little paranoid about forking out for something then it not fighting and the hassle of sending it back and trying again.

Additionally I see that this motherboard apparently has 4 memory slots, so would it be a better option for me to get another 16GB's of the same make for a total of 4 or to just swap the two I have out?

You can add extra RAM sticks in to total four but they have to be EXACTLY the same as what you currently have in there. Same brand, model number, size and frequency which, on older RAM sticks, is actually harder than you think (in my experience) so I’ve always just fully replaced what I currently have.

Outside of that, any DDR4 RAM will work on your motherboard, it it’s always worth checking the maximum frequency and maximum amount your motherboard can handle, just in case, but neither should be a problem.

Awesome, yeah I think I'll just go for swapping them out and selling what I've got, works out a bit cheaper in the end. Thanks for the advice. Always paranoid I'll change something and just explode the thing...

Any DDR4 RAM should fit. For best results, get another 16GB of the same brand/model. Adding it to your existing setup is usually easier than replacing everything.
