Will be for bedroom AI dev stuff, some serious development work, plus 4k gaming. Fortunate to get a chonky work bonus so time for some fun!...
I have SSD's and NVME drives to add once it arrives. Upgrading from 3090 / 8700k (unfortunately ended up bottlenecking the 3090 sometimes)
Am slightly concerned over tohe zotac brand, but was all thats available. I did look a short while ago and there was ASUS available I think, but I guesss they got snapped up.

one thing I'm not sure of is the number of case fans, making a guess that 3 will be fine?

Godlike
I think all of us would be happy with a chonky work bonus!

What's your max budget for the build?
Are there any programs that you use that specifically benefit from Intel over AMD, as if not most of us would not recommend an Intel build at the moment.
You mentioned 4k, what refresh rate or make and model, is your monitor?

Hey. So, after spending a bit of time reading around, I have tweaked the spec a bit - gone for AMD and decided not to worry too much about comparisons with production rather than gaming workloads despite the dev work I do; it will be a majority gaming PC so lets focus on that...
switched motherboard too after reading the Hero would be better? not 100% certain on that though.
The max budget is 'as close to £3700 as possible' - and this comes out at ~4100 - about £600 cheaper than the first set of choices I made, which was feeling a bit pricey but top end doable... I'm much happier with 4100 though.

Main monitor is 4k 60hz (nothing special, got it off a mate for a tenner!), alternate montor is 1920x1080 @ 160Hz, and there is a third screen - 4K samsung TV. I am often driving all three when gaming; gaming on 4k 60Hz, streaming / movie etc.. of samsung, plus general desktop on 1920x1080; thoguh I will switch to 1920x1080 for gaming when I really want to feel the higher refresh rate.

Considering a better 4K gaming screen later in the year as the colour performance on thie current one isnt great, and I do some semi-professional photgraphy work.

I wasnt certain about hte cooling wither; I want it as cool as possible but dont really know the difference between the PCS 290TDP iquid cooling vs the other more expensive options for that TDP. Not too fussed about fan noise, though obviously quieter would be better,

Taken this from a build I specced up earlier today, just removing the 4TB drive as you've mentioned you have some drives to add in, and took the LCD screen off the cooler, as that is more for aesthetic appeal than a neccessity. We would stay away from the PCS AIOs as we have no real data on how they perform compared to the tried and tested options from Corsair, and we have had reports of the coolers failing on the forum over the years.
In my opinion, while the 5090 is the best GPU on the market, it's also over £1000 more than the 5080, and the numerous reports of issues with the power cables would personally push me away when spending that much money. I would rather put that £1000 saved towards an OLED 4k 144hz display to instantly give you a top end gaming display with improved colour performance for productivity work too. No point investing in a high end GPU only to be held back by your display.

Good point re: 5080 vs 5090, but as I do genuinely spend time on some AI work training models, the extra memory is really what I am after. (if your interested, workng to develop a model that will become the core of an audio synthesizer product. Tht extra RAM lets me increase the model size to produce 44Khz output that is the minimum required for production quality work rather than being stuck at 22Khz as I am currently)

From your comments on cooler I think I will go for one of the corsair models. Do you hve any opinion on the choice of motherboard? (am off to go do some proper reading on that now too! :) )
