About £1800-£1900. I have an LG UltraGear 1440p monitor and my current setup struggles at this resolution. I'm not intending to go higher than 1440p.

Thanks Scott. Can I take it from your suggestion, 64Gb RAM not required and it's better to go with 6000mhz of 32Gb ram. The RX7900 is a straight up improvement over the 7800 XT. A system drive + storage drive better than a single drive. What's your thinking around the motherboard? Was the one I had overkill?

I'm not sure any game out there needs more than 20 to 24GB at the moment. The PS5 and Xbox Series X both have 16GB, so cross platform games will need to be able to run on that level of RAM. PC games can have mods, so the RAM usage will creep up a bit, but you'd have to be adding a lot of mods to get upto 32GB and there's no guarantee that number of mods would all be compatible with each other.

The new MSFS out in November is in line with the above. The next MSFS after that might need more than 32GB, but RAM will almost certainly be cheaper at that point. 32GB is likely more than you'll need for the forseeable.

The B650 TUF is a good motherboard. No need for anything above that when gaming. When the budget is high, a more premium board could be considered but it would be the last thing on the last past what is required. I was just over budget when speccing, there's nothing I would lower to afford the motherboard in its stead.

Hi all. My previous spec has turned out to be a bit too pricey, so I've crafted this spec. I have a second SSD already that I can transfer into this machine. I've dropped down to an RX 7800 and 5200mhz on the memory.
