How to change CMOS on a PC Specialist Model NH55RD

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could adivse of send me a guide on where and how to change the cmos battery?

Model - NH55RD

Remove the back of the laptop (I believe there are 12 screws affixing the rear from what i can ascertain from the maintenance manual):


From what I understand the EDQ model is essentially the same as your model

You should then find the CMOS at the bottom:

Remove the old one and replace

Try not to touch the new battery with your fingers,. The oils and acids on you hands can reduce the life of the battery. I use a clean handkerchief to hold the new battery when changing mine. It's OK to touch the old one of course because that's being disposed of anyway.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Is this a standard CMOS do you know where I can purchase for this particular model?
