How does this build look?

Hi all,
I've been thinking of building a new desktop for a while and am finally biting the bullet after many years of laptops only. I've built a number of PCs in the past, going back over 20 years and was going to build it myself this time although due to difficultly getting GPUs/CPUs etc, and hearing very good things from friends that have bought from PCSpecialist, I think this is the way to go for me just now.
My budget for the tower alone is about £1600 inc VAT, though I'm open to discussion. The PC will be used for gaming and as I'm an Engineer, some Autocad and Inventor work (3D modeling) and some FEA analysis as well.... Who am I kidding, mostly gaming with a wee bit of work. It'll be used as a PLEX streaming box as well and the usual day to day stuff.
Not decided on a monitor yet though it'll be 1440p @ 144Hz, budget will prob be around the £350 to £400 mark. I'll need to pick up a new keyboard and mouse but they can be grabbed whenever though any recommendations about the £100 mark for both would be great.
One thing to note is that I've 1x 4TB and 2x 2TB Seagate barracuda already that will get installed so just went for one 1TB NVMe drive just now.
I understand that there will be a lead time (though honestly no idea what it'll be), particularly on the 3060 ti but figure it's best to get the order in and take my place in the queue sooner rather than later.
Many thanks for anyone looking over these specs.

You've pretty much got it spot on just made a couple of tweeks with the case. Switched the motherboard as you can get away with a slightly cheaper one but upgraded your PSU for future upgrades and switched to the AX200 card which is far better performance

I'd up PSU to 750 or 850W to have more space for future upgrades, change wifi to AX (faster and dual band) and definitely get rid of Chrome - it's a very RAM hungry browser and you also give Google your browsing data for free. Get a faster, safer (personal data privacy wise) and less memory hungry browser.

Godlike
Made a couple of minor improvements, hope the budget can stretch a little further. All in all a very solid build though.
The RMx has a fully modular design and has all round better components than the TXm model. It also gives headroom for upgrading down the line, and as it seems you know your stuff this seems a likely possibility to cater to.
Boosted the cooler to prevent any potential thermal throttling when you're running your engineering software; Coolermaster 240 lite is a very capable AIO and will also be able to handle an 8-core CPU down the line if you wanted to go in that direction.
Given you the AX200 for an extra £11. Well worth it to have access to the 5GHz channel plus Bluetooth support, but definitely something that can be dropped if you have an ethernet connection.

A solid entry level monitor would be the forum favourite Samsung G5; it's a great 1440p 144hz display for its price point.

You guys are on the ball, many thanks for the prompt advice.
I'll definitely upgrade the power supply and wifi card.
I was thinking of upgrading to an AIO down the line, do you think there will be much of an issue with thermal throttling?
How much difference is there between the B550-Plus and X570-Plus motherboards?

B550 has passive while X570 active cooling. Also, X570 all slots are Gen 4. Both are great boards, just X570 is best.

I would always select an X570 where the budget is there, however... i would usually spec 2 m.2s, as one would be a 500gb 980 pro and one a 1tb pcs drive or firecuda (depending on budget).

If you don’t intend to have a second drive, you won’t see as much benefit as if say... you had a firecuda secondary drive.

I'm looking into the B550 vs X570, seems quite a bit extra for not too much benefit though, I'm definitely getting to the upper end of my budget. What would you say the upside of an X570 is?
I've a bunch of 3.5" hard drives that I'll be putting in for storage, down the line I've no doubt I'll be adding more M.2s or SSDs though, at the moment, it's more about getting something on my desk which I can add to over time.

If you intend to add more M.2s then its a no brainer for an X570. They have more gen4 lanes and in say 5 years, gen3 could be seen as low quality, where as gen4 is the standard. So for immediate impact, not massive, but for futureproofing... pretty big for me
